Streamlining Business: Top 3 Tools For Creatives

A creative soul with a mild obsession of Harry Potter and a passion for serving other creatives through meaningful and high-converting brand and web design.

Hi, I'm Lauren.

Streamlining Your Business

There’s a lot that goes into running a business—providing a service or selling a product, customer service, marketing, and showing up online. It can be tough to feel like you’re “wearing all the hats”, especially if you’re a solopreneur. Thankfully, there are several tools that can (and should) be utilized to help you start streamlining your business. Here are my top three tools that I use in my own business:

1 | Dubsado

Dubsado is everything you need to provide excellent customer service and automate your systems. Being a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), Dubsado allows you to manage client information, projects, financial reporting, calendars and appointments, tasks, and workflows. You are able to send clients contracts, invoices, reminders, proposals, and questionnaires through a private portal. You can even embed a custom lead capture form on your own website, like on my contact page, that can map to fields automatically so you don’t have to enter any information manually. Their software not only saves you time, but their customer service goes above and beyond. Bonus: they are constantly rolling out new features! Want to learn more? 2 | Canva

Maybe you’re not a graphic designer and you struggle with creating beautiful graphics for social media to market your business. You need Canva, my friend. Canva is a web app that allows you to create your own marketing graphics from scratch or from their thousands of templates. You can create social media posts and stories, stationery, business cards, PDF guides, brochures, flyers, posters, and much more. Bonus: they have an entirely FREE plan! Thinking you need Canva in your life? Sign up with my link*, and we’ll both receive one Canva credit to use on premium content!

3 | Flodesk

Now that you’ve got your clients and projects managed and all of your marketing covered, you need to take it a step further and build up that email list. And if you’re like me, you want to send beautiful emails, too. I’ve used several different email marketing platforms in the past, and the most user-friendly, affordable, and aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion, is Flodesk. They have a ton of stunning templates for you to use, and their forms are extremely customizable, so no coding knowledge is needed! Ready to start writing your list more?
